In April and May 2002 my girlfriend and I was on a trip by car through 10 european countries. Here's the route:
- Day 1:
Germany (just travelling through) - rain most of the time. A while after we crossed the border to The Netherland, we found a motel near Groningen.
- Day 2 and 3:
The Netherlands - we saw Afsluitsdijk, Hoorn, Giethoorn, Keukenhof and Rotterdam harbour.
- Day 4 and 5:
Belgium - we spend one day in Bruxelles. The next day we continued south with a stop in Dinant. Later that day we continued via Luxembourg to France, where we spend the night at a Formula One motel.
|
- Day 6:
From France through Germany to Switzerland, where we visited some family of mine.
- Day 7:
Still in Switzerland, where we saw Via Mala. In Via Mala it started raining, at the rain actually followed us for the next 4 days. In the evening we reached Como on the swiss/italian border, where we started looking for a cheap hotel. After hours of searching we finally found a hotel i little south of Como.
- Day 8-15:
In Italy where we had rented an appartment in Rapallo a little south of Genova for a week. We took some small trips from Rapallo to Camogli, Chiavari and Cinque Terre.

- Day 15-20
In France, we followed the coast from Rapallo via Monaco (just for a couple of hours) to Nice and Provence, where we saw Gorges du Verdon.
- Day 21
Through Germany back to Denmark
