In March 2006 we took on a cruise from Miami to Bahamas. This was a really god experience; relaxing, sun, entertainment, good food. Our cruiseship was Royal Caribbeans "Majesty of the Seas". The ship was built in 1992 and was at that time the largest cruiseship in the world. But since ships double the size have been built.

Our cabin (or "state room" as Royal Caribbean call it) was with oceanview on deck no. 8. It was 11 m2 - that is actually a bit small because toilet and closets take up much space. But we basically used our cabin for sleeping, so the small size was not a problem. Our cabin

April 1, 2006 - day 2

This day we spent on a (very) small island in Bahams, called Cococay. Cococay offers very excellent beaches, so we spent the day at swimming and sunbathing. In the afternoon we were transported back to the cruise ship and the rest of the day was spent on the ship. Majesty of the Seas

April 2, 2006 - day 3

This day our ship was in Nassau, the Capitol of Bahamas. After breakfast we went in to see Nassau. Nassau (at least in my mind) is known for being a popular place to register ships, so I had expected a city somewhat bigger - Nassau is a rather small city (back home I found out that it has around 1/4 million inhabitants so it's probably bigger than I thought).

Many of the cruise ship guest went to a beach 2-3 km from central Nassau, but we actually got a little to much sun the day before, so we walked around in the city center. In the afternoon we went back to Majesty of the Seas, and left Nassau at 5 pm.

April 3, 2006 - day 4

Early morning we arrived back in Miami. But we still had to wait 2-3 hours to get of the ship. Even though we then had time to get breakfast, it was a little boring just to wait. Port of Miami
