Missouri lays in the middle of the USA. As I remember Missouri it is very green and a mixture of flat landscape and rolling hills.

St. Louis

St. Louis lays at the Mississippi river on the border to Illinios - East St. Louis is in Illinois. St. Louis is especially famous for two things: Gateway Arch and Anheuser-Busch brewery.

Gateway Arch

Gateway Arch is an 192 m high arch on the bank of the Mississippi River and is the tallest monument in the USA. Gateway Arch was built in the 1960's as a symbol of St. Louis as a gateway to the west. You can take an elevator to the top, but when we were there, the queue was very long so we took a river cruise on the Mississippi River instead.

Boat cruise on the Mississippi

Instead of seeing the Gateway Arch after hours of waiting we decided to take a boat cruise on the Mississippi River.
