The EG class is a Siemens Eurosprinter 2, ES 64 F platform. The EG class, opposite the rest of the ES 64 F platform, is a 6-axle locomotive. 13 locomotives was delivered in 2000 to DSB Gods, DSB Freight division. The EG class runs under 25 kV (50 Hz) + 15 kV (16 2/3 Hz), has Co-Co wheel arrangement, max power 6500 kW, max speed 140 km/h, weight 126 ton and tractive effert (start) 400 kN. From the start, the locomotives had an unique livery in blue and yellow, and with the DSB Gods logo. In 2001, DSB Gods was taken over by German Railion and named Railion Denmark and in 2009 DB Schenker Denmark. Most still has the blue and yellow livery, but in 2010 a few EG's were painted in a red and grey DB Schenker / Green Cargo livery. The EG's are primarily used on heavy freights between Germany and Sweden.
