I spend the next 2½ day driving to Trondheim. There's about 1000 km from Narvik to Trondheim, and I saw Bodø, Mo and some other things on my way, so the distance was a little longer for me. Generally there's not so much to see, but an exception is Saltfjellet, a plateau with an altitude of about 700 m. Because it's so much to the north, there's no trees on Saltfjellet. The Polar Circle crosses Saltfjellet, so of course there's a Polar Circle Center where you can buy souvenirs

Cairns

Cairns like these are quite common in Norway - I guess they are made by tourists

After I "came down" from Saltfjellet it started raining and the rain continued for the next 36 hours. I felt like the truck driver in »Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy« by Douglas Adams - if you have read it, you know what i mean, if you haven't read it - read it - it's absolute good reading

In the afternoon on the 16. I arrived in Trondheim and the rain had stopped, so in the night I saw Trondheim.
